Total sweeping away of British forces and booty of bombs to drop on them

Page 20

Reponse J18

The Japanese appear on a high with Victories right accross Asia

Page 21

Reponse J19

A pause in the narrative while they size up Britains response. Slight humanity as they see a English officer die

Page 22

Reponse J20

There is really no stopping these veterans

Page 23

Reponse J21

For three days the Ando regiment cuts through the jungle to encircle Kampar, and once again the British lose. There is a feeling that the Japanese army might be going soft on atrocities, this is discussed here. Incredible mind set/

Page 24

Reponse J22

Driven by honour there is some hard to follow infighting. Then they get their act together and smash the British with tanks taking 5 Bridges

Page 25

Reponse J23

They drive in to KL and talk up their reserve troops

Page 26

Reponse J24

Here we hear about the bikes mass produced in Japan and shipped through out Asia. The idea of Engineers holding planks on their sholders to form human bridges is amazing. The rotation of officers to the frontline is key for intelligence

Page 27

Reponse J25

Outside the gates of Singapore the Japanese finally meet Australian troops. Finally a few modern aircraft for the British.

Page 28

Reponse J26

The Australian's break through, reorganize and eventually get wrapped up. The infighting in interesting

Page 29

They occupy the Sultans palace so blazen the British didn't fire on it.

Page 32

Reponse J29

Looking at Sinapore for the taking, the water supply was a critical problem for the Bristish

Page 34

Reponse J31

An sobering defeat of Australians defending the causeway. An amazing devotion to the Emporer is shown.

Page 35

Reponse J32

A pitch 5 day battle for the water resevoir while the Japanese tanks are yet to cross the causeway.

Page 36

Reponse J33

The white flag, not Stalingrad.

Page 37

Reponse J34

The story of buying knockoff Rolexs seams familiar. The Shinto Japanese temple is interesting. The unit Citations were a good wrap up of the highlights as seen from the Japanese side. I found the idea that Japan lost the war because it did not have great relations between Army and Navy is interesting as the commands are really very separate.

Page 38

Reponse J35

The history lesson given the invading army. A real classic.

Page 39

Reponse J36

Invasion is really another day in the office for these guys. Never had a bad landing so far. What is an eye opener is that Japan had occupied Thialand some 300 years earlier and we have these really detailed references to Japanese history.

Page 40

Reponse J37

How to get into and out off invasion boats and smash up more poorly equiped enemy. How to eat and sleep.
